Product Description
The EDI (Electrodeionization) system is an advanced water purification technology that continuously removes dissolved ions from water using ion-exchange resins, ion-selective membranes, and a DC electrical field – all without chemical regeneration.
In the EDI process, feed water passes through dilute chambers filled with ion-exchange resins. Under a DC electrical field, contaminant ions migrate through selectively permeable membranes into concentrate chambers and are flushed away. Simultaneously, water molecules split into hydrogen (H⁺) and hydroxyl (OH⁻) ions, which continuously regenerate the resin bed – enabling uninterrupted operation and stable water quality.
Unlike traditional mixed-bed ion exchange systems that require periodic acid and caustic regeneration, EDI operates continuously with minimal chemical waste. All water-contact parts are constructed from food-grade SS304 stainless steel, meeting strict food industry hygiene standards. The system is fully automated with PLC control from internationally recognized brands such as Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Omron, ensuring reliable operation with minimal manual intervention.
Key Features
1. Chemical-Free Operation
EDI eliminates the need for acid and caustic chemical regeneration, reducing chemical costs, simplifying operation, and minimizing hazardous waste disposal.
2. Continuous Operation
Unlike traditional ion-exchange systems that require downtime for regeneration, EDI operates continuously, providing a consistent supply of high-purity water without interruption.
3. Food-Grade SS304 Construction
All water-contact parts are constructed from SS304 stainless steel, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance, hygiene, and compliance with food and beverage industry standards.
4. PLC Automatic Control
The system is controlled by a PLC from world-renowned brands (Mitsubishi, Siemens, or Omron) with a touch screen HMI, enabling remote monitoring, parameter adjustment, and real-time fault diagnosis.
5. Premium Components
Key components are sourced from leading international brands – water pumps from CNP or Denmark (GF), RO membranes from Toray, Dow, or Hydranautics, and electrical components from Schneider or equivalent brands.
6. Stable Product Water Quality
EDI delivers consistently high-quality product water with resistivity up to 18 MΩ·cm, meeting the most stringent ultrapure water requirements.
7. Standardized Parts for Easy Maintenance
All machine parts are standardized, making maintenance straightforward and reducing both downtime and operating costs.
8. Comprehensive Safety Features
Emergency stop, overcurrent protection, low inlet pressure protection, and leakage protection ensure safe and reliable operation.

Company Profile
Shine Dew Technology focuses on water, beverage, and packaging equipment projects, covering standalone machines, complete lines, engineering planning, and after-sales coordination. For products such as 5 Gallon ISB molding machines, our team supports solution matching from equipment selection to project delivery, helping customers reduce communication cost across procurement, installation, and production start-up.
We work with customers on equipment selection, line matching, technical communication, and follow-up service, so upstream bottle manufacturing can connect more smoothly with downstream washing, filling, capping, and packaging systems.
